Tammo's Big Day

 Alert! Alert! Alert!

I have an announcement to make! Get up! Wake up! Stop what you are doing! Meet me in the kitchen! Repeat! All dogs in the house go immediately to the kitchen! This is not a drill!

Pepper? Pepper! Do you hear that? Nash is sending out an alert! 

Oh, Tammo, you know him. Nash loves drama and he likes to protect everyone. Well, except Mr. Toad. He's afraid of Mr. Toad and doesn't protect him - he runs from that silly toad. Just go back to sleep. It's probably nothing.

But what if it's not drama? What if it's really something? 

(Rolling over onto her back) Look, buddy. I'm telling you. It's nothing. Ignore it and go back to sleep!

(Muttering to self.) I'm not so sure. I'm gonna find Lynn and ask her.

Lynn? Lynn! Are you busy? I have a question.

What's up, bud? And I thought you were napping with Pepper. At your age, you should start taking more, you know. (soft chuckle)

(Thinking) At my age? What does she mean by that? (Aloud) Well, Nashie is howling an alert. He says we all need to come downstairs to the kitchen.

He is, is he? (to self) That boy! He's jumping the gun and Craig and I aren't ready yet. (Aloud) Head down into the kitchen, Tammo. I'll be right there.

(Puzzled) Well, okay. 

(Calling) Lynn says everyone needs to go to the kitchen! Hurry! Some sort of alert is going on! Follow Nash's directions!

(To self) So here we all are. Nash won't tell me what the alert was for, and Pepper and Mama won't "spill the beans," as Mama said. What is going on!

(Everybody) Surprise, Tammo! Surprise!!

Hey, what's this you are putting on my neck?

It's my birthday?? Really?

Oh, joy and rapture! My birthday is today!

And we are gonna get pup cups to celebrate?! I love pup cups!

And look at my baby pictures, too?

Why, thank you! I've been told before that I was a cute puppy before. Guess there's proof, hahaha!

Awwww.... me napping on my dad's lap. I love him so much. Wait, what? He's gonna call me tonight? Oh, joy and rapture again!

While I wait for that phone call, I'm gonna eat my pup cup. (Thanks for singing everyone, but it sure took a long time. I didn't think I'd ever get my pup cup.)

Thanks for a great birthday, everybody. Hey, Pepper! Since it's my birthday, can I play with the purple octopus? Wait, you've got the chew bone, too. Hey!! You're sitting on toys so that I can't play with them, aren't you!
